Last week, Thy Art Is Murder fired vocalist CJ McMahon after his disgusting transphobic comments online. They then proceeded to remove CJ from the new album Godlike, replacing him with a new, mystery vocalist. That album was released last Friday.
The band played the first show of their European tour last night with Tyler Miller of fellow Australian band Aversions Crown handling vocal duties. Judging from the way he handled the vocals on Godlike, I have no doubt that Tyler is a great fit for TAIM moving forward. The band have yet to make an official statement on Miller joining the band but if the shoe fits…
I commend the band for not only removing CJ from the band, but also removing his contributions from the new album. You can read the original statement from the band by clicking here.
